Dhaka Division - The Capital

Dhaka Division is the principle administrative division and the capital of Bangladesh. Consisting a total area of 20,508/ km2 and a population of more than 17 million, the Dhaka is the largest city, where population density is 28,410/ km2 or 73,583/ mi2 makes it the 4th most densely populated city in the world. Chittagong Divison - The Coastal City

Known as the Greater Chittagong. Geographically the largest of the eight administrative divisions of Bangladesh. It covers the south-eastern areas of the country. With a total area of 33,771/ km2 and a population of more than 28 million. Sylhet Divsion - The Tea Capital

Greater Sylhet or Sylhet Region, is the north-eastern division of Bangladesh, named after its main city Sylhet. Surrounded by the Maeghalaya, Assam and Tripura states of India to the north, east and south, respectively. Sylhet is considered one of the most picturesque and archaeologically rich regions in South Asia, and major Islamic Sufi shrines and Hindu holy sites. Rajshahi Divsion - The Silk City

With an area of 18,174/ km2, and a population of more than 18 million, this division is characterized by its cheap labour force. As bordered with West Bengal, India to the west, Rajshahi was dominated by various Rajas, Maharajas, and Zamindars from the 8th century to British colonial period. As a result the region is rich and renowned for its Great Archaeological sites from ancient time including Somapura Mahavihara (world heritage site), Mahasthangarh, Puthia Temple Complex, Bagha Mosque, Kusumba Mosque, Sona Mosque, Uttara Gonobhaban, Varendra Research Museum and surely the Padma and the Jamuna river, which is the main stream of Genges delta.

Barisal Divsion - The Venice of East

Birth place of Bengali nationalist, politician, Prime Minister of Bengal and Governor of East Pakistan A. K. Fazlul Huq, and Kadambini Ganguly, first female graduate and first female physician in the entire British empire. Located in the south-eastern part of the country, has an area of 13,644/ km2, and a population of more than 8 million. It is bounded by Dhaka on the north, Bay of Bengal on the south, Chittagong on the east and Khulna on the west. The region is renowned for its Floating Market, Kuakata Beach, Manpura Island, Nijhum Island, Guthia Mosque, Durgasagar Dighi, Miah Bari Mosque, Lotus Pond and many more.

Khulna Divsion - Home of Tigers

Borders the Indian state West Bengal to the west, Rajshahi to the north, Dhaka and Barisal to the east, and has a coastline on the Bay of Bengal to the south. Located in the south-west of the country with an area of 22,285/ km2 and a population of more than 15 million. This region is well known for its largest mangrove forest in the world - the Sundarbans (world heritage site), and Historic Mosque City of Bagerhat (world heritage site). Khulna is renowned for Shilaidaha Kuthibari, the famous residence of Rabindranath Tagore, and the shrine of Lalon Fakir, the founder of the Baoul faith. Country’s only Ship Building Yard, and the second seaport, Mongla Port is also located at Khulna. Traditional Otter Fishing also been found here still now.

Rangpur Divsion

Formed as Bangladesh’s 7th administrative division on 2010, and has a population more than 15 million. Surrounded by West Bengal, India on the north and west, Assam, India on the east. Divisional headquarters Rangpur, is one of the oldest municipalities in Bangladesh. Pretty much known firstly for its Teesta Barrage, the biggest irrigation project of the country, and secondly for the traditional song called Bhawaia, is the part of folklore and heritage of Bangladesh. Despite this it’s also known for Tajhat Palace, Kantajew Temple, Nayabad Mosque, Kellaband Mosque, Pirgacha Landlord House, Devi Caudhurani Jamindar Bari, Dimla Kali Temple etc.

Mymensingh Divsion

With an area of 10,485/ km2 and a population of more than 11 million people, this is the newly established and 8th administrative division of Bangladesh formed in 2015. Borderer area cover Himalayan state of India. This region attracts 25% of health tourists visiting Bangladesh. It is related with old Brahmaputa river, Handcrafted Duvet called Nakshikantha and Rural Ballad called Maimansingh Gitika.
